Purpose: Tells the whole port operation chain in one model — quay-crane handling, container yard, rail transfer, port roads and the city behind.
Model scope: Port-district model: water areas, quay line and sea wall, red truss quay cranes and gantries, container yard, berthed container ship, rail tracks with locomotive, backland warehouses and city towers on a deep framed plinth.
Key challenge: Component strength and alignment of crane trusses at model scale; resolving level changes between water surface, quay and rail.
